Cathryne A. Welch, EdD, RN has been involved in the nursing profession and the life of the Foundation of New York State Nurses for many years. She initially served as head of the Economic and General Welfare section of NYSNA under the executive leadership of Dr. Veronica Driscoll. When the Foundation was established in 1975, she came over to the staff of the Foundation under the leadership of first Executive Director, Dr. Veronica Driscoll. Dr. Welch served as Executive Director of the Foundation from 1979-2003 and again from 2010-2013.
This collection includes awards, speeches, serials, photographs, and documents pertaining to her professional career. This collection is as yet unprocessed. When processed it will be linked with the Foundation of NYS Nurses Collection (MC51).
